Information about how you access Our Platform, your account, including user's identification number assigned by our Platform, information about the device and browser you use, your network connection, your IP address, and details about how you browse our websites and platform. We collect some of this information by using "cookies" or other similar technologies directly from your device. For more information about how we use these technologies, see our Cookie Policy below.

  • To verify your identity when you contact us
  • To help us determine or verify the account ownership

We also use the personal data collected to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations in relevant jurisdictions and for legal and administrative purposes such as verifying and processing payment, screening against fraud, money laundering and other criminal or unlawful activities, accounting, billing and audit purposes, developing, maintaining and testing our systems, for claims handling and for understanding, exercising, enforcing or protecting our legal rights and those of others.

We also may work with companies that provide us with information about merchants or prospective merchants (for example, to protect against fraud or if we're sponsoring an event).

When and why we share your information with others

We work with a variety of companies to help us provide you with a range of services to help you support your business. We sometimes share your personal information with these companies to help us provide you with our Platform and its services.

We also share your personal information with others:

  • to prevent or investigate suspected fraud, threats to physical safety, illegal activity, or violations of a contract (like our Terms of Service) or our policies if any
  • to help us conduct marketing and advertising
  • to comply with legal requirements in relevant jurisdictions
  • to respond to court orders or other similar government demands in relevant jurisdictions
  • if we merge with or are acquired by another company

Additionally, almost every merchant uses our services to support their business (for example, apps from our app store, sales channels, payment gateways, or shipping providers).

We do not control how these services use your personal information, and you should review any other service you use to make sure it meets your privacy expectations.

Your rights over your information

We believe that you should be able to access and control your own personal information no matter where you live. You can access and correct your personal information by emailing us at [email protected], or in accordance with the requirements and steps prescribed in applicable data privacy laws.

Because we need your personal information to provide Our services, we generally keep your personal information while you use Our products or services. If you close your account at Our Platform, we retain store information for two years before we begin the personal information purge process. We do not do this immediately in case you reactivate your account, or if there is a legal complaint or audit relating to your business. If you have questions about this process, please contact us. Please keep in mind that after we anonymize or delete your personal information, we may continue to use non-identifiable information to improve our services.

Finally, we do not and will not sell your personal information.

 Your customers' information

In order to manage your business, we collect and use personal information about your customers. In general, we only collect and use this personal information as directed by you. Legally speaking, we are a“data processor” and a "service provider" as these terms are applicable in European, California and Hong Kong privacy laws. We will never use your customers' information to independently market or advertise to your customers unless they are also using one of our applications or services directly. We also do not and will not "sell" your customers' information, as that term is used in California law.

Because you decide how the personal information of your customers will be used, you need to make sure your customers understand how you (and how we on your behalf) collect and process their personal information. You should do this by, at a minimum, posting a privacy policy on your store that describes the information you collect, how you use it, and who you share it with.

Also, if you are collecting any "sensitive" personal information from your customers (for example, information about health, race, ethnicity, genetics, biometrics, trade union membership, political opinions, philosophical or religious beliefs, criminal history, or sexual interests), you should get the affirmative, express consent from your customers to use and process this information, if that is required under applicable data privacy laws.

Transfer outside of Europe and Switzerland

Please note that some of the recipients of your personal information referenced above will be based in countries outside of your country of residence whose laws may not provide the same level of data protection as your country. Where you reside in Europe or Switzerland, we may transfer your data to Mainland China and Hong Kong, China.

In such cases, we will ensure that there are adequate safeguards in place to protect your personal information that comply with our legal obligations. Where you are resident in Europe or Switzerland, to ensure this level of protection for your personal information, we typically use a data transfer agreement with the recipient based on Standard Contractual Clauses. Further details of the transfers of your personal information outside of your country of residence and the adequate safeguards used by us in respect of such transfers (including copies of relevant agreements) are also available from us by contacting [email protected].

Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small amount of information that's downloaded to your computer or device when you visit certain websites. We may use a number of different cookies on the Our Platform, including strictly necessary, performance and analytics cookies. Cookies make your browsing experience better by allowing the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login and region selection). This means you don't have to re-enter this information each time you return to the site or browse from one page to another. Cookies also provide information on how people use the website, for instance whether it's their first time visiting or if they are a frequent visitor.

What cookies do we use and why?

Some cookies are necessary to allow you to browse our website, use its features, and access secure areas. The use of these cookies is essential for the website to work.

We may also use functional cookies to remember choices you’ve made or information you’ve provided, such as your username, language, or the region you are in. This allows us to tailor your website experience specifically to your preferences. For example, authentication cookies are functional cookies that are used for the duration of a session (or persistent, if you agree to the “remember me” function) to allow users to authenticate themselves on subsequent visits or to gain access to authorized content across pages.

Our is dedicated to user experience and we use many tools to help us improve our Platform. To this end, we use analytics cookies to collect information about how you use our website or our merchants’ storefronts, and how often.

How Long will cookies remain on my computer?

The length of time that a cookie remains on your computer depends on whether it is a "persistent" or "session" cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most of the cookies we use are persistent and will expire 30 days from the date they are downloaded to your device. See the section below on how to control cookies for more information on removing them before they expire.

 How to control cookies?

You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your user experience and parts of our website may no longer be fully accessible.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser controls, often found in your browser's "Tools" or "Preferences" menu. For more information on how to modify your browser settings or how to block, manage or filter cookies can be found in your browser's help file or through such sites as: www.fancial.com.
